Description
The Butterflies in God’s Stomach is a creative retelling of the Bible’s love story of God wooing humankind to be his bride in a world where we humans have lost the plot.
Part poetic novel, part epic poem, it follows a stream of water imagery from Scripture’s first scene to its last—from in the beginning to all things new—reflecting a story of the origins, history, and destiny of human civilization. Using tools forged in Hollywood plot laboratories, Scripture’s story comes into clear focus as an allegory of a God who longs to be one with humankind so our love can rule the world.
That story is not over yet. We have a vision of its final scene, but life on Earth can still all end in death and destruction. Or it can end in a final scene like the Bible’s, in which love conquers all. Everything depends on whether or not we find ourselves in a love story and get engaged. The Butterflies in God’s Stomach will help you do just that.
